Wallgrün and city axis: It is proposed to connect the Wallgrün and the city axis Karl-Marx-Strasse. For this purpose, the path system of the ramparts will be bundled and led south-east to Karl-Marx-Strasse. At the same time, it is planned to minimise the proportion of paved areas.

Mobility belt: The bus station is part of a compact mobility. The bus station is part of a compact mobility belt that combines bus stops and waiting areas, taxi ranks, bicycle stands and lockers. Accordingly, it is possible to change between the different means of transport via short distances. The area itself is designed as a paved island. Short diagonal crossings connect it to the platform and the path system of the ramparts.

Entreé area: The station building and the pavilion frame a common entreé area. It forms the transition to the mobility belt. The tourist information office in the station building and the catering facilities are accessible from the area. The Kulturhaus Stadtgarten is located on the south-eastern side of the street.
