In the interplay of natural and anthropogenic elements, a variety of charming and exciting places have emerged in the valley along the Löbau water. The railway viaduct, the sugar storage and the limekiln form important points of reference for the whole area. Besides the topography of the valley and the fragments of industrial culture, the area is characterized by very diverse natural areas and strong copses. The existing structure of spaces and artifacts is to be largely protected and preserved.

The sugar plateau stands in a special position in relation to the rest of the site. In continuation of the existing bridge head, the terrain is divided. The intersection of the two areas connects the bridge head with the viewing area of the plateau. This is followed by a ramp system, which leads visitors to the main path into the valley.

The swimming pool and parts of the Herrmannbad building are combined as one strip along Vorwerkstraße.The cutting and the compact arrangement of the functional areas

enable a cohesive and generous lawn. The bent shape of the basin derives from the topography and the shape of the plot.
