The Europahafen is located on the edge of Bremen's city center. The former port area is the heartland for the urban development of the 'Überseestadt Bremen'. The new districts are connected to the city center via an extended park.

Allowing for the cut and the generous extent of the area, the park is regarded as a coherent elongated 'plateau'. A corresponding profile encloses the park spatially. At the same time, this profiling supports the three main uses of strolling, playing and storing/watching and relates them to one another. The spatial profile is maintained over the entire length of the park. However, a transformation to altered needs and a complementation of uses remains possible.The park is linked in its extension to the dock and the Straße am Hansator by the harbour square.
